Caterpillars Infants
Every day brings something new for this stage of life- a smile, a coo, a laugh, and so much more! For infants, every interaction is an opportunity to grow. Leaving your baby in someone else's care can be a stressful time. We embrace the opportunity to be a small part of your baby's life and help meet your needs by giving your most prized possession the love and nurture that they need to grow, learn, and be happy.
Butterflies Ones Class
This is such an exciting age as toddlers start to explore and grow. They learn so much through playing and engaging with teachers and friends. Whether we are learning colors, sounds that animals make, or silly songs, our little friends will have fun and stay busy. Around the age of 18 months, we will introduce short periods of class time with them using the Abeka curriculum, where they will color, count, learn shapes, and so much more. Weather permitting, we will go outside every morning and every afternoon.
Busy Bees Twos Class
Our Busy Bees class is just that...Busy Bees! Their little minds are always going, and they love to learn! In addition to learning through play, our little friends will have class time each day where they will learn stories from the Bible, identify colors, letters, and numbers using the Abeka curriculum. Our dedicated teachers seek to develop good manners, age-appropriate social skills, and respect for the teachers and classmates. This is also the year that we work alongside parents to potty train their children. Weather permitting, we will go outside every morning and afternoon.
Dragonflies & Dinosaurs Threes Class
As our friends are getting a little older, we begin to have a little more class time. During Bible time, they will learn about Creation, Noah's Ark, David and Goliath, and more. They will learn short Bible verses and songs. In Language Arts, they will learn to recognize the letters of the alphabet and the sounds that those letter say. They will learn about animals, transportation, community helpers, countries, health and safety, manners and more. They will also learn to count to 30 and number concepts 1-15. Weather permitting, we will go outside every morning and afternoon.
Four-Year-Old Preschool K4
This is a big year for our students at Beacon Baptist Church Daycare. Our K4 program is a pre-kindergarten program. Operating on a similar schedule as our kindergarten students, our students start wearing uniforms to school and arriving to class by the time our school tardy bell rings. In K4, our children will be learning to read using a phonetic approach, to write in cursive, to count to 100 and even how to do simple math. They will have other weekly classes such as Art, Music, Library, Computers, and Spanish. While K4 operates on a traditional school calendar (August through May), we continue to offer childcare throughout the summer. Children must be four years old by August 31 to be in the K4 class.
